When you live with diabetes there are times when you might struggle with periods of depression, stress or anxiety. The day to day challenges can sometimes feel overwhelming, so it’s important to look after your emotional wellbeing. Diabetes can be easier to manage with the right support, that’s why Diabetes Australia offers a Diabetes Counselling Service. This free phone counselling service is available to people living with all types of diabetes, and those who are caring for or supporting people living with the condition. A confidential, informal discussion over the phone with our professionally trained counsellor can help you work through any stress or anxiety you may be facing. You can access this short-term service for the help you need to implement strategies and get back on track to a happier, more fulfilling life.
