National Food Plan

The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF), on behalf of the Australian Government, recently held national food plan roundtables, gathering feedback on an Issues paper.  Feedback received will be used, along with  input received from written submissions and a webcast, to help the Government identify priority issues for developing the national food plan.

A report is currently being prepared summarising the key themes and ideas arising from the meetings, which the Government is likely to publish on the DAFF website ( in the near future.

The Department has also received several requests to publish a list of who attended the meetings and, in order to be as transparent as possible, intends to publish an aggregated alphabetical list (by organisation name only).
